INVITATION TO BID The Greater Huntington Park & Recreation District (Hereinafter referred to as Owner) invites proposals to provide all Work, including but not limited to labor, material, equipment, supplies and transportation for NEW PICNIC SHELTER RITTER PARK Huntington,. West Virginia All bids must be submitted in accordance with the Bidding Documents and this Invitation to Bid. Bidders are invited to submit an offer under seal to: Greater Huntington Park & Recreation District P.O. Box 2985 210 Eleventh Street Shop # 1 Huntington, WV 25728-2985 304-696-5954 Bids must be received by the Owner at the address above under seal on or before 1:00 p.m. local time, on June 21, 2016, at which time bids will be opened and read aloud. The Project consists of the development of a new picnic shelter near the existing shelter and restroom building in Ritter Park near the intersection of 13th Avenue and 12th Street. The site is on a level, existing lawn area of the Park. Construction includes site preparation, concrete footings, concrete slab on grade, stone veneer, timber framing, metal roofing, lighting, connections to existing utility services, fine grading and landscaping. Bid Documents for the Stipulated Sum contract may be purchased at cost from C&B Blueprint, 824 6th St., Huntington, WV 25701, 304-525-2175, www.cbblueprint.com on or after May 31, 2016. Partial sets will not be issued. Bid Documents may be viewed at the office of the Architect, the Owner, and other Depositories listed in the Project Manual. A certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total Bid, or a satisfactory Bid Bond furnished on the form provided by a solvent surety company authorized to do business in the State of West Virginia in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid, must be submitted by each Bidder with the Bid. A Contract Performance Bond and a Contract Materials and Labor Payment Bond each equal to 100 percent (100%) of the Contract Price will be required for the successful Contractor. Other bidding requirements are described in the Project Manual. A Pre-Bid Meeting is scheduled for 3:30 p.m., June 7, 2016, at the Project Site (meeting will be held at the existing Picnic Shelter.) Attendance is mandatory. All Prime Bidders MUST attend the pre-bid meeting to familiarize themselves with the Project location, site conditions and other relevant information. Should any Bidder fail to attend, their Bid will be disqualified. Submit offer on the Bid Form provided. The Owner intends to issue a Letter of Intent to award a contract within twenty-one (21) days of the bid date; however, bidders will be required to submit offer under a condition of irrevocability for a period of sixty (60) days after submission. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and to re-advertise.
