PUBLIC OPEN HOUSE SECTION 5310 PROGRAM This is to inform interested transit or paratransit operators and the public located within the Huntington, WV-KY-OH Transportation Management Area (TMA) that KYOVA Interstate Planning Commission and Tri-State Transit Authority (TTA) will host a Public Open House to receive comments on Round 3 of the KYOVA Section 5310 Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities of the Federal Transit Act. The public open house will be held on December 5, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the KYOVA Office located at 400 Third Avenue, Huntington, West Virginia. The intent of Section 5310 Elderly Individuals and Individuals with Disabilities Program funds is to provide transportation services that meet the special needs of elderly persons and persons with disabilities for who mass transportation services are unavailable, insufficient or inappropriate. Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital and the Huntington West Virginia Housing Authority have requested funding to acquire vehicles and/or communication systems for transportation services through their respective agencies. If awarded, Section 5310 federal funds would require a 20% match from the applicant agency. Copies of the detailed service description and project budget will be available for review beginning November 21, 2016 and concluding at close of business December 6, 2016 at the KYOVA office during normal business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Public comments will be accepted at the public open house. Additional public comments will be accepted in writing to KYOVA Interstate Planning Commission, 400 Third Avenue, Huntington, WV 25701, attention Saleem Salameh, or e-mail, ssalameh@kyovaipc.org beginning November 21, 2016 through close of business December 6, 2016. Any written comments will be addressed by KYOVA, TTA and the respective applicant agency prior to funding approval.
