Notice The Wayne County Economic Development Authority is requesting a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) to select a qualified firm to perform cleanup activities at the Former Kenova Elementary School, located in Kenova, Wayne County, West Virginia. Activities will include removal of environmentally impacted building materials including asbestos containing materials, fluorescent lighting, light ballasts, and/or thermostats following all Federal and State regulations. Copies of the Procurement Process are available at the WCEDA Office, located at 25 Elm School Lane in Wayne, WV 25570, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday; phone (304) 272-9050, or by email contacting Carol Damron, Executive Assistant at wceda@suddenlinkmail.com. This project is funded in part through a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Brownfield Cleanup grant. All work performed will be done in accordance with applicable rules and regulations issued by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the State of West Virginia, and the County of Wayne. Minority and Woman Owned Business Enterprises are encouraged to participate. The WCEDA will not discriminate against any firm or individual on the basis of race, creed, color, sex, age, disability or national origin. Written SOQs must be received by the WCEDA by October 3, 2016. All SOQs are to be delivered via USPS to the WCEDA, P.O. Box 519, Wayne, WV 25570. SOQs must be clearly marked "Brownfield Cleanup SOQ" on outside packaging.
